First Day

Today was my first real day of trying to lose weight, and Would definitely consider it a success! I ate quite a bit fewer calories, I resisted the urge to snack, and I drank lots of yummy water. And I still feel satisfied! Although I did get hungry this afternoon, it wasn't like I was in extreme hunger pain mode or anything. I'm pretty happy with myself. To continue these happy feelings, I am going to go to the gym now (or go outside) and do some cardio. Yay! I even weighed myself this morning and it looks like I'm down about a pound. I'm hoping the first 10 pounds will come off really fast and easy, but I'm not sure!

The health guru guy on Oprah says your body needs to experience being hungry, and that it is a good thing! He also said to quit eating at a certain hour every night, like at 7pm. That's what I need to do! I'm a night snacker, and its baaaad.

Sav... I agree with rebecca's comment. I really feel strongly about the intuitive eating theory. This theory has changed my life. There is a book that you might be able to find on intuitive eating or maybe google it. But the book will give you the best and most accurate information. Basically intuitive eating is learning to understand your basic cues of hunger and fullness. Now... I LOVE the feeling of being slightly hunger, yet satisfied. The feeling of overeating just makes me sick and it's because of the things I learned from intuitive eating. And it's a healthy mind-set... the non-diet mindset so you can continue these habits for life. Healthy eating becomes a way of life. Hey... sorry this is long I could go on forever about nutrition ya know!
